Common Core: Please call your Ohio State Senator today and urge them to support HB7 to protect students from PARCC testing

Call the Ohio Senate today on CCParents of students in K-12 have the legal right to opt their children out of the PARCC Common Core proficiency testing. Every parent should seriously consider this for reasons stated in this letter from a Centerville school teacher. (Note that in many school systems, the school building administration staff is NOT permitted to tell parents of their right to opt their children out of this testing. To so do, however, just requires that a simple form be completed. This one way progressives aim to control our lives—by not being forthright with important information. In this case, they don’t trust parents to be parents.)

The Ohio House unanimously passed HB7 to prevent a student’s school record from being adversely impacted should the student be opted out of the PARCC testing. The bill is now in the hands of the Ohio Senate.

Please call or email your state senator and senate leaders to urge them to quickly bring this bill to a floor vote.
