Thunderclap Chief Justice John Roberts on Obamacare decision

FacebookTwitterGoogle+EmailPrintShare

Stop Obamacare 300No American is above the Constitution; in particular, no member of government is above the Constitution. Their powers as elected and appointed officials are limited to only those permitted in the U.S. Constitution. This is Civics 101.

Many believe Chief Justice John Roberts placed himself above the Constitution when he created new law to replace key unconstitutional provisions of the Affordable Care Act or Obamacare. In essence, he authored the legal opinion that, because the law was constitutionality flawed, he took it upon himself to rewrite it to make it constitutional in his opinion. There is no power granted to the U.S. Supreme Court, of which I am aware, that gives this legal authority to the Chief Justice or the majority of the Supreme Court Justices. The power to write law is with Congress. The enforcement of the rewritten provision of Obamacare compounds this error because all subsequent actions are, therefore, also unconstitutional.

To help remind Americans of this apparent abuse of power by Justice Roberts, add your name to this Facebook Thunderclap.
