MVCI – HOLIDAY EVENT
Join MVCI for a special video with a multi-faceted presentation around what George Washington called “Providence” when he spoke of the unexpected and unexplained events which occurred during the founding of our nation. Decades later Charles Dickens wrote in his novel, A Tale of Two Cities, “..it was the best of times and the worst of times” which aptly describes the period of the American War for Independence. Those early patriots realized that, although they faced incredible obstacles and life threatening danger, they survived and were victorious because “Providence” had intervened on their behalf and on behalf of a fledgling nation.
In this video meet a modern day freedom fighter, Dr. Russ Lloyd, as he shares his amazing story which took place during one of the “worst times” in America’s history…the Vietnam War. This real life story entwines around a U.S. Air Force Lt. Colonel, a newborn baby left in a rice field, a tiny nun, a Mother Superior, a South Vietnamese lieutenant, his family and a South Vietnamese General. It is a story of what God planned to do in each of their lives in spite of all the horrific conditions surrounding them.
