At a fundraiser in New York Friday night, Hillary Clinton made a comment that many consider very insulting to millions of Americans. “You know to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables,” she said as the crowd laughed and applauded. “…the racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic, you name it … Some of those folks — they are irredeemable, but thankfully they are not America…”
Vice Presidential candidate Mike Pence responded “Hillary, they are not a basket of anything. They are Americans and they deserve your respect.” Many feel that Hillary Clinton has spent a great deal of time with Hollywood supporters and the rich elite, and is out of touch with everyday Americans.
