Liberty is lost when taken for granted!
What does taking your liberty for granted really mean?
1. Not being familiar with the U.S. Constitution creating ignorance of what rights you have according to our fundamental American law—the U.S. Constitution.
2. Placing trust in elected officials to uphold their oath of office to protect and defend the U.S. Constitution—meaning YOUR liberty—and then not verifying that they are living up to their oath.
3. Failing to assert your constitutional rights when an official’s abuse of power attempts to negate your rights or fails to faithfully execute the constitutional responsibilities of their office.
The U.S. Constitution is the only lawful means we have to prevent tyranny from taking root in America. It is the only lawful means we have to reverse the illegal and unconstitutional actions of government officials.
However, if you don’t understand the U.S. Constitution, then you don’t understand what these lawful means are and how to use them. Your ignorance is giving power to those who are taking away your liberty.
Miami Valley Citizens Informed is hosting a one-day Constitution Boot Camp in Dayton, Saturday, November 14, to provide you with a fundamental understanding of the U.S. Constitution. This will enable you to fight knowledgably to protect your liberty. The Boot Camp is presented by Building Blocks for Liberty and will be held at Washington Heights Baptist Church, 5650 Far Hills Avenue, Dayton OH 45429, from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The cost of the course is $20 for the first member of the same family and then $5 for other family members sharing the same books. The course is suitable for high school students and adults. The $20 pays for the cost of the books and course material you keep. Lunch will be available at a reasonable cost or for a donation.
This will be the 20th offering of this course. It’s an excellent course! Reservations are made by emailing jim@buildingblocksforliberty.org or visiting the website for Building Blocks for Liberty and registering online.
