The Dayton Tea Party issued the following statement about the debt ceiling vote by Congress in Washington D.C.:
COLUMBUS - The 1851 Center for Constitutional Law, on behalf of the Dayton Tea Party and Dayton Tea Party President and Founder Rob Scott, yesterday filed in the Ohio Supreme Court a Public Records Complaint demanding Ohio Municipal League (OML) and Ohio Township Association (OTA) lobbying records.
The Dayton Tea Party is sponsoring Ohio budget and Ohio Senate Bill 5 forums this week. Other forums possibly will take place next week as well.
"It is very important citizens hear all sides of the issue regarding Ohio's financial situation and our forums will provide this," said Rob Scott, president & founder of the Dayton Tea Party. "Our groups are pleased to do this public service to our communities."

The Miami County Liberty Groups is holding a TOWN HALL MEETING & BOOK SIGNING WITH DICK ARMEY & MATT KIBBE FreedomWorks Chairman Dick Armey (also former House Majority Leader) and FreedomWorks President Matt Kibbe will be in Troy for a Town Hall meeting and book signing today, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m.. The event will be held at the Crystal Room (Club 55), 845 S. Market St., Troy, Ohio.
According to the Dayton Police who were in attendance at the Dayton Tea Party's 'Remember November' Rally Thursday night, the crowd was estimated at over 3,000 in Courthouse Square in downtown Dayton. Additionally, the Dayton Foodbank determined about 1,800 gross pounds of food were donated from the Dayton Tea Party Rally.
Ohio's estate tax is levied at rates of 5%-7% on taxable estates over a mere $338,333. It generates less than 1% of total state and local revenues.
