DDN defends politicians on Ohio's taxes

Ohio's Corporate tax structure needs an overhaul. In order for the state to compete within the United State as a midwestern rust belt state with horrible weather ... Ohio needs to be business friendly and foster business growth.

The Dayton Daily News opinion section has done nothing more than make excuses for Dayton's local and state politicians about this complete embarassment for the Miami Valley and the state of Ohio. Click here to see Dayton Daily News coverage. What is interesting in ALL of their editorials is the DDN attacks NCR and even candidates who site the Tax Foundation's analysis of Ohio's tax structure.

Why is the Dayton Daily News attacking a nonprofit corporation whose purpose to to analyze tax structures in all 50 states? DDN claims they are not an authority over knowing the tax structure in Ohio....BUT the DDN claims to know it better than the professionals at the Tax Foundation by using 2006 Census data....

The Tax Foundation mission is to educate taxpayers about sound tax policy and the size of the tax burden borne by Americans at all levels of government. From its founding in 1937, the Tax Foundation has been grounded in the belief that the dissemination of basic information about government finance is the foundation of sound policy in a free society.
