As President Obama promotes his public health care agenda in Cleveland on Thursday,
Americans for Prosperity activists will rally outside the event to show President Obama and Congress that Ohioans don’t want a government takeover of health care.
“We’ve heard enough health care proposals from Washington that give government all the decision-making power,” said Americans for Prosperity Ohio Director Jack Boyle. “It is time for citizens to tell their legislators to stop, turn around, and pursue real reforms that put patients first.”
AFP activists will meet at 12:30 p.m. with home-made signs outside of Shaker Heights High School--where President Obama is expected to speak at 2:25pm.
What really matters is who decides. Under reform proposals before Congress, government would take over more and more of your health care decisions. Whatever it’s called-socialized medicine . . . government-run health care . . . "a public plan". . . individual & employer mandates- it's bad medicine.
In a recent national survey* 4 out of 5 Americans were concerned that government run health care would:
REDUCE HEALTH CARE QUALITY
INCREASE COSTS
LIMIT CHOICES OF DOCTORS
INCREASE THE FEDERAL DEFICIT
There is a better, uniquely American solution: freedom. Freedom to choose your doctor and health plan. Freedom to spend your health care dollars as you choose. Freedom to make your own medical decisions. Freedom to keep a health plan you are satisfied with.
