As consumers become responsible for their medical purchases and health choices and the providers become aware of the consumers willingness and ability to pay, prices will come down and quality will improve.

The past couple of days has been an eye opener for Americans across the the United States. With the several statements that have been said by President Barack Obama, U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi, U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, and others, labeling those in the Dayton Tea Party as part of the mob. We have been labeled nazis, right-wing extremists, Republican National Committee cronies, insurance company employees and FoxNews.

The House is expected later today to approve next fiscal year's Agriculture Appropriations bill, the fifth of a dozen budget bills that must go through Congress. And yes, there are some earmarks.Check out Jaime Dupree's blog posting:

By my count, the first five bills to hit the House floor have included just over 2,000 earmarks, for a total of $1.09 billion.
Here is a table that breaks down the requests by each member, how many earmarks they have requested and the total.

Ohio's Corporate tax structure needs an overhaul. In order for the state to compete within the United State as a midwestern rust belt state with horrible weather ... Ohio needs to be business friendly and foster business growth.
