As House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy has stated “Science is increasingly showing by eight weeks children in the womb react to touch, by 20 and if not before, they feel pain,” McCarthy said. “Not only can they feel pain but if they are born at 20 weeks, these children increasingly have a chance to live, to grow, and lead full lives.” The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act would protect unborn children after this 20-week point.
It is expected that this bill will be brought to the House floor in Congress on Tuesday, 3 October. Please strongly consider letting Rep Mike Turner know that you expect him to vote for the bill to protect our unborn children. Representative Turner cosponsored the bill in January 2017. However, his vote is where the “rubber meets the ramp.”
