Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, one of the most respected conservative Republican leaders in the U.S. House of Representatives, called for Republicans to get strongly behind the campaign of Donald Trump for President to reverse the declines in the pocketbooks of Americans and in America’s position in the world.
Jordan said “Seventy percent think America is in decline. Eighty percent feel the system is rigged against them.” And he said that the “rigged system” is clearly shown in the fact that Hillary Clinton was not indicted: “We witnessed some things here. When you have the director of the FBI lay out what he uncovers in his investigation and lays it out in a compelling way, and then says, ‘Oh, by the way, there isn’t going to be any charges,’ suddenly the American people saying what we suspected you have confirmed. One standard for the politically connected, and another standard for others. That isn’t how it is supposed to work.”
Jordan said that Donald Trump made a great pick for his running mate when he selected Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, and that Trump will be effective in ending runaway spending, growing the economy and getting a handle on the massive government debt that has doubled in the last ten years.
